The Dawson Student Union recently announced a plan to hand out $50 grocery store gift cards to 800 Dawson students. The initiative, which is completely funded by the DSU, is to help some students out during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We are committed to help as many students as we can during this time of crisis by offering stress relief in the form of grocery store gift cards to put towards emergency essential products," say the DSU executives.

On April 6th, the DSU will release a link to a Google form on their Instagram page, @mydsu, where students can apply. The application process is simple. Take a screenshot of your Winter 2020 schedule from Omnivox. The screenshot needs to include your student ID number, your program, and "Winter 2020 Semester". With that, fill out the Google form and wait for your confirmation email.

The DSU has 800 President's Choice gift cards, which are valued at $50 each. With their card, students can make purchases at these stores: Metro, Maxi, Pharmaprix, Loblaws, and Provigo. The cards will be sent to students by email, once all the applicants are looked over.

All Dawson students, including evening and springboard students, are eligible to apply. For more information, please contact the Dawson Student Union.
